I'm currently using a router (TP Link Archer C7) with OpenWrt (using dnsmasq as DNS service) at home. Since I want to block ads and tracking services using the router, I wonder if there is any limitation regarding the number of entries inside the dnsmasq.conf. Since there are zillion of evil hosts and IPs to block, this kind of lists can grow up to a size of several megabytes.
Does the router actually care if I'd fill in tenthousands of entries? Since the disk and memory space is very small, I wonder if that'd be a good idea or if it would be better to get a raspberry running pi hole.
Any experiences or recommendations?
Thanks in advance!
